8. Broken Boot is in the northern Hills. If you're not going up there to see anything else, than Big Thunder would be the better choice. Big Thunder is closer to Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore. If you're going to the northern Hills to do Spearfish Canyon or Deadwood, then Broken Boot would make sense.
